vivo India is a smartphone manufacturing brand that has a decentralised organisational structure. We, at the HQ were responsible for the strategic end of the company and the ground operations were managed by our business partners present in 27 territories across India. I Developed strategies and business processes for vivo Team Leaders pan India. Managed a cohort of 3200+ team leaders via channels, who directly managed a team of 47000+ sales promoters.
I am a marketing & tech enthusiast awaiting an opportunity to tap into my relentlessness. My interest in technology sparked soon after I licked a 9 Volt battery and I have been obsessed ever since. After nurturing an interest in management and marketing, I felt most fulfilled when I was investing my time selling/researching a product that had its core in technology.
Ever-curious, I kept experimenting on my skill sets to create meaningful things in life. In 2015, I developed a media & entertainment website to quench my thirst for entrepreneurship. I mustered a team of 15 like-minded individuals to work with me. That project laid the foundation of what I am today.
I joined vivo India as a Marketing professional in Retail Management. My role was to develop business processes by kickstarting a department to oversee sales Team Leaders pan India. I along with my team created processes, policies, and guidelines for a cohort of 3200+ Team Leaders. My work required me to travel all over the country from Kashmir to Kanyakumari where I received a lot of exposure while pitching to our business partners. I not only had the opportunity to learn from the best in their fields but also to advise them whenever necessary. The learning was unparalleled which changed me both professionally and personally. I worked with a plethora of cross-functional teams and coached hundreds of personnel via different channels. I dived deep into the consumer mindset and developed a skill set in marketing consumer electronics.
As a person, I have a hardwired desire to be better, an instinct for good design, a strong ambition to make a difference, embarrassing hang-ups on semantics, and evangelistic tendencies. My commitment to stay perpetually curious, honest and in-reach of my passions are part of what I put in my secret sauce to success.
